Delivering critical infrastructure for Waterloo Metro’s transformation

The Waterloo Metro Quarter is a $900 million, state significant mixed use development centred on the new Sydney Metro station. The project will revitalise the precinct, delivering new homes, community facilities, commercial spaces, and sustainable jobs, driving the urban renewal of Waterloo.
Kinvara Civil was engaged as the water contractor on this project to deliver a range of sewer, water, and electrical augmentations around the perimeter of the new metro station. The works were carried out under challenging ground conditions, within community-sensitive areas, and in accordance with ROL and traffic management constraints.
Key challenges included completing multiple road crossings during nightshift and weekend closures, as well as installing bores and connections to existing water, sewer, and concrete structures. Kinvara collaborated closely with our client to navigate design constraints and service clashes, ensuring all works were completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
